“We stayed for a week in one of their Bell Tents. It was decked out with everything we needed. There was a BBQ and a shared outdoor kitchen that saved us buying stuff in order to cook. The location and the weather was perfect, and having a well maintained pool was a major plus. Everyone that we met at the campsite was warm and friendly too, which really added to the whole experience. I haven’t slept in a tent since Reading festival in 1995, so I was thinking I was going to rough it for a week. I was totally wrong – the facilities were spotless, showers warm, toilets all stocked with loo roll and access to hand sanitiser was available throughout the campsite. We had an amazing time. The kids had friends to play with, we had good company throughout the night and day. I can’t thank Henry and Kat enough. 2020 has been a rubbish year for everyone, and this holiday has brought back a bit of normality – if only for a week. But it was needed. So, thank you Camping du Bois de Saint Hilaire for bringing the Findlaters that silver lining, that we have craved. This place ticked every box. Till the next time, stay safe and keep it up!”

OMG What legends! All I can say is stay here. Beautiful woodland site, clean well presented facilities and the piece de resistance “Henry”. This man actually went and bought Gluten free beer for me when he realised I was “special” 🤣. Such a warm welcome genuinely chilled person. We spent two nights here on our travels back north and would have happily spent far longer. Large level pitches that feel private whilst being close to facilities. Pool (although not open whilst we were there) looks great! Lots of entertainment options from table tennis, table football, air hockey near the bar and play area for kids to play without needing to be between pitches. The woodland walks are great and not far to walk into the local town.
Bar with pool table and darts give a great area to relax in and brings people together.
Washing machine, tumble dryer, great showers (proper tap without annoying 5 second shut off.). Peaceful site with the sounds of birds and nature all around.
This isn’t your multi pitch carpark like many campsites. It genuinely feels like somewhere loved by the owners and definitely by us.
An escape I definitely recommend.
We will be back!!

“Me, my wife and my 14 year old daughter had an amazing stay at this little gem of a site. Super friendly owners who could not be more helpful. The site has everything you need for a relaxing break. We were only stopping for 4 nights but could have quite easily cancelled our next booking to stay longer. The swimming pool was perfect, the bar was great, the pizza’s fab, the pitches were huge and could easily have got 2 camper vans and awnings in them with space to spare but it was nice to just spread out in your own area. Fresh bread and pastries delivered to site 6 days a week, local boulangerie and shop in walking distance along with other services we didn’t need but knew were available if needed was most welcome.
We cannot wait to be able to get back next year with the rest of the family and spend even longer. Just don’t go here if you are expecting a Haven/Butlins/Centre Parcs type experience because it’s just a chillout, family friendly, laid back experience where they are not trying to suck the cash out of you at every opportunity. In summary a very honest campsite, that is not over commercialised, big on getting the basics right and perfect for the majority of people’s needs.”
